SALT LAKE CITY — Two inmates were flown to a hospital after they were stabbed in a fight at the Utah State Prison on Friday.

Utah Department of Corrections spokeswoman Karen Tapahe said what appeared to be a "gang-related altercation" happened about 5 p.m.

Details of the incident weren't immediately available, but two people were stabbed and flown to a hospital, where Tapahe said they were stabilized. She did not disclose their condition.
