(KSL News) Orem police say a Highland family went on a shoplifting spree over the weekend.
Officers arrested Larry Bickel, 42, Saturday night.
They say Bickel and his wife went to Mervyns in University Mall with their three young children.
Security officers report Bickel grabbed bags from behind the counter.
Police say the wife would tear off the price tags and Bickel would stuff the items into the Mervyns bag.
They left the store. Security officers stopped them in the parking lot. Police say the couple had more than $1,600 worth of merchandise with them.
Bickel's wife, who was not taken into custody will also be referred to court for felony shoplifting.
