SALT LAKE CITY — A construction worker is in serious condition after falling into a concrete pit at a job site in Salt Lake City on Thursday.

The man was working near 4000 West and California Ave. when he fell about 15 feet, Salt Lake firefighters reported. He was extricated from the hole and taken to a hospital.

Additional information was not immediately available.
