SALT LAKE CITY — Little Cottonwood Canyon and state Route 210 were closed Saturday morning for avalanche mitigation. The roads were, however, open again by 10 a.m.
The Utah Department of Transportation warned drivers to expect significant uphill travel delays along canyon roads, due to the traffic queue. Drivers were also asked not to block neighborhood access in the area.

I-89 through Provo Canyon will also close from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday for similar avalanche prevention measures. Drivers should anticipate a 15-minute delay, according to UDOT.
