HAMILTON FORT, Iron County — A man died Friday morning after his car crashed into a horse trailer on I-15 in Iron County.

The collision occurred just before 9 a.m. south of Hamilton Fort, which is located about 4 miles south of Cedar City. Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Cameron Roden said a southbound Toyota Sequoia drifted to the left, then overcorrected to the right and hit the side of a truck pulling a horse trailer.

The Toyota rolled, ejecting the 27-year-old driver who died from his injuries. Roden said the truck driver and horses did not receive any injuries.

The man's identity has not been released and it is unknown why the car had drifted.
