WASHINGTON — Dylan Strome scored in overtime on the power play to help the Washington Capitals beat the New York Islanders 3-2 for a second consecutive victory. Hendrix Lapierre scored and assisted on Joel Edmundson's first with the Capitals. Alex Ovechkin's career-worst goal drought reached 14 games. But he assisted on Strome's goal. Hudson Fasching and Anders Lee scored and Semyon Varlamov made 33 saves in the loss for the Islanders.
