DELLE, Tooele County — A man was taken to a hospital by medical helicopter in critical condition after a rollover crash on I-80 near Delle in Tooele County.

About 5:24 p.m. Tuesday, a car and pickup truck were traveling on I-80 when the driver of the car swerved and hit the back of the pickup truck, causing it to spin, go off the road to the right and roll. The driver swerved to miss something they thought they saw in the roadway, according to Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Cameron Roden.

The man driving the pickup truck was airlifted in critical condition. No one was injured in the car.

The road was closed for about 20 minutes while the helicopter was at the scene.
