NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Major League teams stocked up on pitching Wednesday in the big league phase of the winter meeting draft with eight of the 10 players selected being pitchers, including three from the New York Yankees' system. The Yankees lost a pair of right-handers in the first two picks, with Oakland taking Mitch Spence and Kansas City selecting Matt Sauer. The Texas Rangers, fresh off their first World Series title, took right-hander Carson Coleman at No. 23 overall from the Yankees. The top six teams all used their selections in the draft for unprotected minor league players.
