RIVERDALE — A man with a history of illegal THC vape distribution is facing new allegations of providing vapes to teen girls in exchange for sexual acts.

Tyrell James Sabey, 22, of Pleasant Grove, was booked into the Weber County Jail on Monday and criminally charged Wednesday in 2nd District Court with three counts of forcible sodomy, a first-degree felony; three counts of forcible sexual abuse and four counts of drug distribution, third-degree felonies; four counts of child endangerment; and two counts of enticing a minor, a class A misdemeanor.

The investigation began in June when a 15-year-old girl reported to Riverdale police that Sabey was contacting teen girls on Snapchat "and providing THC and nicotine in exchange for sexual acts," a police booking affidavit states. "The victim stated she knew of two other friends of hers who also met up with Tyrell and did sexual acts with him for THC and nicotine. These other victims were 16 years old and 15 years old."

Detectives collected fingerprints and reviewed text messages as part of their investigation and were able to identify three victims.

In April, Sabey was found guilty in 4th District Court of drug possession with intent to distribute. The charge was amended to a class A misdemeanor and he was sentenced to probation, according to court records. He is also currently charged in 3rd District Court with drug possession with intent to distribute, a third-degree felony; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a class B misdemeanor.
