MINNEAPOLIS — Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler was held out of the game at Minnesota to rest. Butler had 14 points on 3-for-11 shooting in Miami's loss at Boston the night before. The six-time NBA All-Star is 34. He has dealt with ankle and knee injuries among other nicks over the years. Butler has not played more than 65 games in a regular season since 2016-17. The Heat were also without forward Kevin Love, guard Josh Richardson, forward Caleb Martin and forward Haywood Highsmith against the Timberwolves.
