PITTSBURGH — The Miami Marlins are capping off their breakthrough season with a playoff berth. Miami is heading to the postseason for the fourth time in franchise history after clinching one of the National League's wild-card spots. General manager Kim Ng says her team's surge through September was the culmination of three years of hard work by people throughout the organization. Star centerfielder Jazz Chisholm credited Ng for helping create a family-type atmosphere that has let the unheralded Marlins thrive.
