EAGAN, Minn. — The winless Minnesota Vikings have had trouble hanging onto the ball with an NFL-high nine turnovers and a handful of other drops. Certain players might lose their grip on spots in the lineup if the trend continues. Running back Alexander Mattison is under the most scrutiny because of the recent acquisition of Cam Akers. Coach Kevin O'Connell said the Vikings are planning to incorporate Akers into the plan for the upcoming game against the Carolina Panthers. Mattison has dropped two passes and lost one fumble this season. Two other fumbles were wiped out by a defensive penalty and a dead ball.
