SYDNEY — Sizing up a fifth-ranked France lineup led by Wendie Renard is important for Panama's players and coaching staff in planning for their Women's World Cup group finale. Combating the scoring threat takes it to a higher level. As Brazil has found. As France coach Hervé Renard says: "Wendie, she is maybe one of the tallest players in the world." And, he adds: "She has very good timing." She uses that height and timing to good advantage at the set piece when she moves out of defense mode and goes on offense. Four of Renard's five career Women's World Cup goals have come from set pieces, including her winning header against Brazil in a pivotal Group F game on the weekend.
