WEST VALLEY CITY — Three teens are in police custody Sunday after a shooting left one teen with life-threatening injuries, West Valley police said.
Police were dispatched to 3500 S. Constitution Boulevard in West Valley City on reports of a shooting about 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
A 15-year-old male was shot in the leg, police said. While the injury was considered life-threatening, the boy is expected to survive, said West Valley Police Sgt. Andrew Steinbrecher. The boy was still receiving medical treatment as of Sunday evening.
Three other teens have been taken into police custody, police said, adding that they believe they have everyone involved in custody.
