MURRAY — The southbound I-15 on-ramp at 5300 South is closed due to the road buckling, the Utah Highway Patrol said Sunday.
The on-ramp is expected to remain closed overnight until about 4 a.m. Monday.
Buckling is caused when moisture caught in the cement and heat is added, said Nick Shaw with the Utah Department of Transportation.
There is no way to predict when and where road buckling may occur, Shaw added.
