PARLEYS CANYON — One person is in critical condition and three others were injured after a van rear-ended a semitruck in Parleys Canyon late Tuesday.

A van with four occupants rear-ended the semitruck on eastbound I-80, according to Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Cam Roden.

The driver of the van was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Two passengers were taken to the hospital in fair condition, and one other suffered minor injuries. The driver of the semitruck was uninjured, he said.

Roden said he is unsure of the cause of the crash. More information was not immediately available.
