DES MOINES, Iowa — Stephen Ames is a winner for the third time this year on the PGA Tour Champions. He shot a 67 on Sunday to win the Principal Charity Classic by one shot over Steve Stricker and hard-charging Jerry Kelly. Ames and Stricker now have three wins each on the 50-and-older circuit. Stricker still leads the Charles Schwab Cup standings. That's because he already has won the first two majors of the year. Stricker now moves to his native Wisconsin to host the next PGA Tour Champions event. Ames is rethinking his schedule now that he's winning with regularity.
