THE NETHERLANDS — Sittard is a small city in the southernmost province of the Netherlands. The eastern side of Sittard borders Germany, so many of the residents there speak Dutch and German. In addition to the bilingualism that's common, the city is a fascinating blend of cultures. Rather than territorialism, there's a warm embrace of what makes each country special.
Why do I mention all this? Because it seems that even the pets in Sittard excel at working together to accomplish things. Check out this video.
As you can see, each member of this dynamic duo has a role to play. Tiësto, the husky, has the reach necessary to open the door. But he lacks the power to get up over the barricade.
That's where Buddy shines. The smaller dog gives his pal a boost, then easily clears the barricade himself, so that the two pooches can make their great escape.
Judging by their excitement, my theory is that this dynamic duo were headed to some sort of dog party. I don't know if Sittard hosts any such event, but there was definitely something incredible out there that prompted these two dogs to flee with such haste. Go, dogs. Go.
