AROUND THE SHIELD — The NFL's annual postseason exhibition Pro Bowl is now the Pro Bowl Games, and Utah was well represented in Las Vegas.
Former Utah quarterback Tyler Huntley found his way onto the AFC's roster, despite throwing for just 658 yards and two touchdowns with three interceptions in relief of Lamar Jackson in Baltimore. Former BYU linebacker Fred Warner will represent the NFC in Sunday's flag football game.
Detroit tackle Penei Sewell, who prepped at Desert Hills High in St. George, is listed as an alternate for the NFC.
The 24-year-old Huntley, who will be a restricted free agent this offseason, was initially the fourth alternate at quarterback after finishing seventh in league voting out of the AFC. He finished ahead of Las Vegas' Derek Carr, New England's Mac Jones, Denver's Russell Wilson and Tennessee's Ryan Tannehill, but behind Kansas City's Patrick Mahomes, Cincinnati's Joe Burrow, Miami's Tua Tagovailoa and Los Angeles' Justin Herbert.
But Tagovailoa and Herbert pulled out due to injury, and Mahomes was exempted because — well, you know — he's playing in a slightly bigger game on Feb. 12 in Glendale, Arizona, and Carr and Jacksonville's Trevor Lawrence were called up instead of the top-two vote-getters.
That left Huntley as the next injury replacement for Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen, despite only starting six games (including the playoffs).

"It's something that you dream of as kids, but you never think it's like this," Huntley told Ravens team media after the games culminated in a three-part flag football contest. "Then when you get here, it's even better, because you're here. It's just amazing and a blessing that I was able to say that I did it."
Huntley even had a fan experience, when he met music legend Snoop Dogg.
"We're on two different sides of the globe. I'm from Florida, he's from Cali," Baltimore's self-described "Snoop" said. "It's crazy how things play out."
Here are some of the highlights from the weekend in Las Vegas, including the NFC's slump-busting skid against their AFC counterparts.
