MAGNA — A driver suspected of being impaired overturned a dump truck, spilling gravel all over state Route 201 in Magna on Thursday afternoon, police said.

The incident happened just before 2 p.m. when Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. The truck then overturned, spilling the gravel on the highway and causing damage to another vehicle, Roden said.

While there were no major injuries but the highway was closed between 8000 West and 7200 West while the scene was cleaned up, Roden said.

A field sobriety test was conducted on the driver of the dump truck, who was then arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, Roden said.
