The housing market is a hot topic in Utah—and even the country. Utah Real Estate's website says more than 5,600 homes were listed in 2022—so far. That outpaces last year's total already.

Most of these homes are ready for a single family or couple looking to settle down. A handful have the capacity for much more than a few kids and the puppy. Much more.

Though they aren't as abundant as the townhomes in the south Salt Lake Valley, these few huge homes are a sight to behold. Located throughout the state, here are a few mansions on the market in Utah.

Elk Ridge farmhouse

This 10,835 square foot property is idyllic for those seeking a simpler life. It's designed for horses to roam about the property while you take in the impressive panoramic views in quiet Elk Ridge.

The home features seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms. In addition to a normal kitchen, you'll find another full-size kitchen, an exercise room, an indoor pool, hot tub and a firepit.

In the backyard is a hay barn and plenty of acreage to run around and enjoy the solitude of the quiet area. If you want to call this place home, you'll need a cool $3.5 million.

Heber Valley home

Nestled in the mountains between Provo and Park City is this stunning and stately mansion. With nearly 18,000 square feet, there's no way you'll feel cramped in this home.

According to the Utah Real Estate listing, the home itself has all of the bells and whistles: a theater room, eight bathrooms, seven bedrooms, hardwood floors, heated floors, three laundry rooms, two dens, a bar, a hot tub, and much more.

Not only is this a horse-friendly property, but there are 160 acres of pristine land to explore. The backyard has several patios and fireplaces with outdoor kitchens, perfect for those who value an entertaining lifestyle. Kids will also enjoy the hidden playhouse in the yard.

To check this house out, you'll need to verify you can pay the $27.5 million price tag first.

'Fantasia' in Washington

Living up to its former nickname, this jaw-dropping mansion is one you won't soon forget. With a staggering 24,500 square feet, there's no shortage of extra storage space.

As you can imagine, there are plenty of amenities in this estate. In fact, this home was once featured in a Forbes article highlighting all of its extensive perks. UtahRealEstate.com says it has a bowling alley, arcade, spa wellness center, two theater rooms, an elevator, an atrium, sports pub, pool and spa, and a six-car garage. You'll also find a kids' room with an indoor slide and fun extra hideaway places only big enough for the children.

The views aren't bad, either. This $4 million dollar property is perched just above the Green Springs golf course, so you can catch the sunsets and look out over the lush green of the course.

Party house in Orem

It's no secret that Utahns have a lot of kids, but 10 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms might be a tad more than what most families are looking for. This Orem mansion packs in more than 30,000 square feet of home.

According to Utah Real Estate, this home sits on nearly eight acres of land in the Old Orchard neighborhood. Inside, you'll find marble flooring, huge French doors, and opulent furnishings. On the lower floor is a dance floor with a DJ booth, and of course, state-of-the-art lighting and surround sound.

You can't forget the other incredible features of the mansion. It also includes a theater room, a racquetball court, exercise room, pool, tennis courts, and even a gift wrapping room.

Salt Lake's idyllic neighborhood

Beautiful white minimalism and lots of natural light are just a few of the gorgeous features of this Salt Lake City home. You'll find this mansion in the Harvard/Yale neighborhood of east Salt Lake—a coveted part of the valley.

For about $3.5 million, you can get close to 12,000 square feet of house—with lots of perks, of course. According to the Utah Real Estate listing, the home includes nine bathrooms and six bedrooms, a theater room and a spacious outdoor pool. Inside, the details are king. From white oak floors, Carrara marble and custom cabinets, to app-controlled HVAC and lighting, you'll live in quiet luxury.

Wanship wonder

A sprawling 18,000 square foot home is tucked away in Wanship, and it's looking for a new owner! The $6.5 million home features six bedrooms and 11 bathrooms.

In addition, the Utahrealestate.com listing says it comes with a 14-car garage, game room, theater room, ball pit, library, exercise room, hot tub, basketball court and a 1950s style diner.

The exterior is just as impressive as the interior. The home sits on 21 acres of land near the mountain, valley and a nearby lake. If quiet seclusion is what you crave, you'll enjoy this property.

Sandy stunner

Locked away behind a gated community and 24-hour security guard is this not-so-little home in Sandy. With more than 10,000 square feet, there isn't much left out of this grand mansion.

Inside, you'll find eight bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, two full-size kitchens, three laundry rooms, an indoor basketball court, an event center, and a theater. For those looking to enjoy a little relaxation, there's also a massage room, a pool and hot tub, and two waterfalls.

Since it's located in a family community, the home also comes with access to a community pool and hot tub, tennis courts, sand volleyball, and a park. It's close to Little Cottonwood Canyon, so it's ideal for those who love carving up the mountain in the winter months.
