SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Jazz announced Tuesday that star shooting guard Donovan Mitchell underwent MRI testing on his left hamstring, and the results came back negative. His status for Game 6 of Utah's first-round series against Dallas will be updated on Wednesday.
Mitchell left Game 5 in Dallas during the fourth quarter after going up for a layup and feeling his hamstring "tighten up" on him. He told media after the game that he would "be fine" for Game 6. He said he anticipated some pain; and when asked if he would play through the pain, he said, "I'm a competitor."
