After an especially difficult year, you can make Christmas wishes come true for three Utah families in need.
PonyEx has teamed up with Aligned Media Productions and @GrinchVideos to provide Christmas to a few families nominated by the local Utah community — and they need your help.
Two of the families are currently battling a cancer diagnosis. (A GoFundMe page has been set up for one of the families, for those who'd like to contribute.)
Another family with ten children lost their husband/father earlier this year.
Due to the immense hardships they've faced, PonyEx — a local startup delivery app service — is asking the community for support to meet these families' needs. Whether it's through donations, monetary support or connections, your contribution can make a big difference!
How and where to donate
For your convenience, PonyEx has provided three different ways for you to help these families between now and Dec. 19:
First, you can make a cash donation through Paypal (support@ponyex.com) or Venmo (@ponyexdelivery), which is the easiest option.
Second, between Dec. 14–19, PonyEx will pick up your donations for only one penny. Simply sign up for an item on the donation list and use the PonyEx app (available on Apple or Android devices) to schedule a pickup time between Dec. 14–19.
Finally, you can sign up for donations and drop them off at designated areas in American Fork, Salt Lake and Layton. These locations will be provided once you've signed up to donate.
Unique ways you may be able to help these families
In addition to fulfilling these families' Christmas lists—including much-needed clothing, shoes and bedding, as well as the fun stuff like toys and electronics— PonyEx hopes to make some bigger dreams come true in the process as well. These three families would love to take a vacation after enduring such a difficult year. PonyEx would appreciate anyone with travel connections (plane tickets, a timeshare to donate, etc.) who might be able to make this wish come true.
Join the Christmas Community Event hosted by The Grinch!
After he personally delivers the gifts and donations to the families, PonyEx and The Grinch will host a Christmas Community Event in the IKEA parking lot in Draper on Dec. 22 at 5 p.m.
This will be a special opportunity to bring the community together to celebrate the spirit of giving. PonyEx will also be hosting a food and diaper drive during the event and hopes to load their trailer, so bring your donations and be prepared for a fun-filled evening! Meet the Grinch, enjoy donuts, hot cocoa and other treats, along with raffle prizes and Christmas crafts for the children.
