THE PHONE — Siri, Alexa, Hey Google — they all have easter eggs in their microchips waiting for us to discover.
They tell you jokes, they creepily guess your next question and they listen too well to serve you up ads after you say something like "mattress" in the presence of your device.
But if you're creative enough, you can manipulate these AI assistants to make your own jokes. Raynell Baldovino is one such creative being, and all he did was change the name he wants Siri to call him.
In the video, all you see is a block of text that consists only of H's and A's. One would think that much of Siri's pronunciation would translate into a flat "haha" or a 20 seconds of maniacal laughter. Luckily the results are much funnier.
Instead it ends up sounding like Siri is dying a slow death (maybe even in The Castle of Aughhhh, if you're a "Monty Python and The Holy Grail" fan). Or, depending on your perspective, it sounds like Siri is laughing sarcastically at your bad jokes or even your very existence.
Whatever your interpretation, it's hard to deny that this is a slice of perfect silliness to delight you into a smile or maybe even a sensible chuckle today.
