LEEDS, Washington County — All lanes of I-15 have reopened in both directions after a collision between a semitruck and RV on Wednesday, Utah Highway Patrol said.
I-15 had been previously closed in both directions eight miles north of Leeds following the crash about 5 p.m. before opening to one lane in both directions almost two hours later. All lanes of travel in both directions were reopened after 10 p.m., according to Utah Department of Transportation.
One person was in fair condition following the crash and didn't have any injuries considered to be life-threatening, according to UHP Sgt. Cameron Roden.
The crash was located in the median of the highway, forcing the closure of both directions, Roden said. One of the vehicles caught fire and emergency responders monitored it closely due to the recreational vehicle's large propane tank, Roden added.
A separate crash about nine miles south of Kanarraville closed the two left lanes of northbound I-15, according to UDOT's website. The estimated clearance time was about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday with UDOT reporting delays longer than 15 minutes.
