WEST HAVEN — A man who walked away from a care facility in West Haven on Wednesday afternoon has been found safe, authorities said.
Police asked for "urgent public assistance" in finding James Shiery, who left the facility at 2700 W. 3300 South around 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Shiery, 56, is 5-foot-10 and weighs 160 pounds. The Weber County Sheriff's Office said he has long grey hair and a brown and grey beard. He was last seen wearing a jean jacket, black shirt and a camo hat with a Ford logo.
Police also said Shiery has a traumatic brain injury.
In an updated Facebook post, the sheriff's office said Shiery was found safe and thanked those who helped look for him.
