REDMOND, Sevier County — A new wildfire sparked Wednesday evening near Willow Creek Canyon, east of the town of Redmond.

The fire was estimated at 25 acres and growing rapidly at 6:25 p.m., according to a tweet from Utah fire officials, who said the blaze was "very visible" in Sevier and Sanpete counties. Air and ground resources responded to the scene. No other information was given Wednesday night.

Monk Springs Fire located in Millard County was 100% contained on Wednesday evening.
