SALT LAKE CITY — Drivers are being urged to slow down and use caution after a storm system that moved into Northern Utah overnight led to a slippery commute along parts of the Wasatch Front Thursday morning.
Several crashes, including three rollovers, happened on I-80 between Saltair and 5600 West in western Salt Lake County, the KSL Traffic Center reported. At least six crashes were reported along I-15 in the Salt Lake Valley and several more near American Fork.
Icy conditions on I-215 caused multiple cars to spin out in Taylorsville near 4700 South at about 7 a.m., causing north and southbound lane closures and traffic delays in the area.

The scattered snow showers should end after 10 a.m. and produce little to no accumulation in the valleys, according to KSL meteorologist Grant Weyman.
With light snow expected to continue falling throughout the morning, officials with the Utah Department of Transportation warned drivers to slow down and drive cautiously as road conditions will be slick and possibly slushy.
