WAIT, WHERE ARE WE? — Look, the world is weird and we all know it is.

And the world is weird because humans are, well, human.

In general we're creative and inventive. We're explorers and discoverers. And it's by trying new and seemingly weird things that we find new ways to build and interact with the world.

After all that preamble, we're not here to talk about that kind of weird. We're here to talk about weird for weird's sake. We're talking about when an artist's brain combined with technical skill has an idea it won't let go of, so they just have to make it.

Since you will never guess what that idea is, I'll tell you — it's a keyboard synthesizer hooked up to chattering teeth toys (It's OK to re-read that. I'll wait).

As simply stated on Love Hultén's YouTube channel, he created a "VOC-25" and said it "is a conceptual vocal synthesizer based on the Axoloti Core and 25 sets of plastic teeth, each set representing a unique note on the keyboard."

In the video, you'll see that the teeth are set neatly into a board and then hooked up to a keyboard. But don't worry — while the first set of noises you hear are freaky screams coming out of the plastic teeth, the panel has different settings that sound more like a synth soundtrack in an 80s movie. And that's a sound everyone can love.

Hultén got the original idea from popular YouTube user, Simone Giertz, who made a keyboard with teeth, but she didn't add the synth. She has top comment on Hultén's video, and she gushes about how he"pumped up the jam," if you will: " I LOVE IT SO MUCH it's putting my teeth wall to shame! How can I invest?"
