SALT LAKE CITY — A 16-year-old boy remained in extremely critical condition on Monday after being hit by a car that then drove off, according to police.

About 8:35 p.m. Sunday, a car hit the boy on 1700 South and 1120 West as he was crossing the street, according to Salt Lake police. The teen, whose name was not released, was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

Police are looking for a white, late 2000s Nissan Maxima. Anyone with information can call police at 801-799-3000.
