SALT LAKE CITY — Police responded to a shooting that began near 950 South and 1100 West but involved multiple scenes Saturday.

Dispatch received information of multiple gunshots in a residential area around 6:45 p.m. Saturday, according to Salt Lake City Police Lt. Steve Wooldridge. He said an 18-year-old man was found in critical condition, but later died on scene.

A vehicle was later found in the Glendale area near 945 South and 900 West with a male teen that was approximately 17 or 18 years old. The teen was transported to the hospital in critical condition with gunshot wounds.

Wooldridge said there are three crime scenes involved in the incident, but he did not give any information on a third scene.

The incident is still under investigation, though Wooldridge did not provide information on any arrests or details about the individuals involved.
