(KSL News) A man found with fatal stab wounds at a Salt Lake City apartment complex may have inflicted them himself.

Twenty-five-year-old Matthew Maxwell died early Sunday morning from his injuries.

Police were looking into whether or not the stabbing happened at a party going on in the complex but now tell the Salt Lake Tribune Maxwell was a "troubled young man," and his death likely was a suicide.

However, they say they are still investigating.
