With Thanksgiving over, kids can now start counting down to Christmas, and the jolly old elf himself has arrived in Utah, but not on his sleigh; instead he got a lift from KSL's Chopper Five.
Orem was Santa's first stop of the season as he arrived this morning to hundreds of people cheering.
Five-year-old Josh was one of hundreds of kids who turned out to the University Mall in Orem for Santa's grand event. It's become an annual tradition for Santa Claus to arrive to the mall on the day after Thanksgiving and to arrive in style, in Chopper Five.

Santa took some time to greet the crowd and remind the kids he'll be checking his list and checking it twice between now and December 25th.
Santa Claus will now be spending the day inside the mall this Black Friday, which got a lot of people up very early, to get a head start on their holiday shopping. Shoppers have crowded inside of the mall as well as many other stores in the shopping centers of Utah County.
For those of you who haven't started counting yet, we did the counting for you, and we officially have 26 days until Christmas.
