(KSL News) The Unified Fire Authority (UFA) is asking for the public's help this season to keep the homeless and less fortunate among us warm.

Last year UFA collected several thousand coats and blankets and it is hoping to find similar success again this year. Donated items will be taken to the St. Vincent De Paul Center in Salt Lake. Other shelters such as the overflow Family Shelter in Midvale also will receive donations.

Those who wish to donate can take coats or blankets to any UFA fire station over the next four weeks.
