SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A 19-year-old West Valley City man was found guilty of a fatal shooting in a case of mistaken identity.
Mohamed Daffalla Kabor was convicted Wednesday by a 3rd District Court jury of first-degree felony murder for the slaying in June 2007 of Luis A. Trujillo, who was shot in the back of the head.
Kabor faces 15 years to life in prison when he is sentenced in January by Judge Judith Atherton.
According to trial testimony, Kabor was handed a gun by the driver of the car he was in after the driver mistakenly identified another car on Interstate 15 as belonging to an enemy.
Kabor was also convicted of second-degree felony obstructing justice and three third-degree felony counts of discharging a weapon from a vehicle.
