The Salt Lake Bees 2006 season came to an end on Saturday night, as they fell to the Tucson Sidewinders 10-8. That gives Tucson the Pacific Conference championship, as they take the series three games to one. The Sidewinders jumped out to a 10-0 lead with three runs in the first and seven more in the second. The Bees would rally with one in the second, one in the third and five in the fifth with the last three coming on a home run by Ryan Budde. Kendry Morales homered in the sixth to pull to within two, but that was the last hit of the game for Salt Lake.

Daniel Davidson took the loss, as he lasted just one and one-third innings and allowed seven runs. Matt Hensley kept the Bees in the game with five scoreless innings of relief. McPherson, Nick Gorneault and Mike Eylward each had two hits in the game. Manager Brian Harper and Eylward were ejected in the fourth inning for arguing balls and strikes.
