Berlin (dpa) - Germany has issued an English version of its principal legal text, the German Civil Code, and put it on the internet, the Justice Ministry in Berlin said Wednesday.
The version was commissioned from a private team of legal translators. The code, much amended since it originally became law in 1900, regulates contracts, property and claims. The ministry said it planned translations into other languages.
