TRENTON, Ohio, Sep 4, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- Police in an Ohio town allege two soccer moms were smoking pot while they were waiting for their children to finish practice.
Lt. Timothy Traud of the Trenton Police Department told WLWT-TV an officer who came to the field last week during practice saw Deborah Spangler and Jessica Riddell in a mini-van allegedly sharing a joint.
"He began talking with them and could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle," Traud said.
The two women were arrested, and their children had to accompany them to the police station. Both were released on bond pending a court appearance Wednesday.
Riddell allegedly had a joint hidden in a pack of cigarettes, two grams of marijuana and rolling papers, police said.
