472 new COVID-19 cases Sunday

The Utah Department of Health on Sunday reported 472 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state. That brings Utah to 21,100 total coronavirus cases, up from 20,628 cases the day before. No new deaths were reported Sunday, leaving the state's total at 167. The health department estimates that 11,931 Utahns have recovered from COVID-19. The department Sunday also reported the results of an additional 5,647 tests. Utah has now conducted 328,449 total coronavirus tests. — Graham Dudley, KSL.com

Weber State cancels popular fireworks show due to COVID-19

Weber State University has canceled the popular Lindquist Family Pops Concert & Fireworks show for 2020 "in consideration of the health and safety of the community." The event is traditionally held during the Ogden Pioneer Days Celebration and Rodeo, which has also been canceled this year due to coronavirus concerns.

In consideration of the health and safety of the community, the 2020 Lindquist Family Pops Concert & Fireworks at Weber State has been canceled.
