What better place to spend the day than at the park? They've been busy all day, but that's just one place where families and friends spent their unofficial last day of summer.
Seven-year old Adam really doesn't really know why he's not in school today...
Adam Volker: "Because it's, what day is it? Labor Day? Ha ha"
But it doesn't matter, he just knows he gets to hang out with his family.
Ruby Volker: "We're going to play in the water."
Eric Volker: "It's a goregous day. No plans, just going with it."
The Volkers were just one of the families that packed Liberty Park today.
Eric Volker: "You don't know how many of these types of days you get."
Head up the mountains and it's families like the Gourley's you'll meet.
Cindy Gourley: "Me and fiance having BBQ, becaue we don't have work or school, taking a break."
A lot of people were taking a break in the mountains and a lot of people were in Park City. The town gathered for the annual Miner's Day Parade. The parade rolled down Main Street; and this isn't all the city is doing for the holiday -- there's entertainment, and barbeques into the evening.
Really no matter where you were, hopefully you weren't at work.
Eric Volker: "Labor Day, you can't work on Labor Day."
