OGDEN — A 27-year-old man has been charged for allegedly having an illegal relationship with a 15-year-old girl, according to prosecutors.

Timothy Allen Cloyd, of Ogden, was charged Tuesday in 2nd District Court with five counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony, as well as two counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor, and dealing in harmful materials to a minor, both third-degree felonies.

The investigation began in April when police received information that Cloyd was “bragging to a co-worker about a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old minor female,” according to charging documents.

On May 14, police interviewed the girl who said she had sex with Cloyd multiple times between December and March and sent him several explicit photos, the charges state.

Investigators found “26 nude images of the minor female in a phone application that separates and hides images” from the other pictures on Cloyd’s phone, according to the charges.
