PAYSON HIGH SCHOOL — With a swathe of graduations this week and no chance to reunite students in-person to celebrate a trying year well done, Payson High School had to get creative.

Elevated far above controversial musical tributes like Gal Gadot’s rendition of “Imagine,” this video will hit you right in the feels. And if it doesn’t, that’s okay. Just ignore me as I ugly cry in the corner.

As the video’s description explains, “Our cover of 'Let it Be' performed by faculty and staff of Payson High School, as a tribute to our wonderful students during this challenging Covid-19 quarantine time. Props to all the staff who were willing to step out of their comfort zone and give it a shot.”

There’s so much to love about this video, where do I even begin? The various teachers using their musical talents, from pianos and tambourines to the mandolin and guitar. The sign language guy is absolutely jamming out with his interpretations!

Then there’s the swathe of relatable backgrounds, my personal favorite being the teachers’ classrooms that show they’re doing their best amid all the learning changes. Finally, the array of green Payson High School gear that shows the staff coming together in spirit.

This video is full of regular, local people who stepped out of their comfort zone to make something beautiful and give a moment of happiness to anyone in need. The result is uplifting, relatable, and completely worth your time.
