EAGLE MOUNTAIN — Power was restored to 11,500 in Eagle Mountain after a major outage Wednesday, Rocky Mountain Power confirmed.
The power went out after construction activity caused damage to a main power line about noon. It was restored a couple hours later, though officials had originally estimated the outage to last until 4:30 p.m.
"It will be a major repair that is estimated to take several hours," a tweet from Eagle Mountain City reads.
City officials said a scheduled outage would take place Wednesday from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. while crews fixed the damaged line.
Customers can check on the status of the outage at Rocky Mountain Power's website.
