HOLLADAY — Police have located a Highland man they say stabbed his roommate three times earlier this month.
James Deloy Peterson, 38, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on Monday for investigation of aggravated assault and violating a protective order.
On March 7, Peterson and his female roommate were at a house in Holladay when they got into an argument, according to a police affidavit.
“After being there for about two hours they got into an argument and James used a pocket knife to stab the victim three times: in the chest, left upper arm and left pinky finger. The arm wound had a nicked brachial artery and surgery was done on the pinky,” the affidavit states.
The woman then got a protective order against Peterson, which he “repeatedly” violated by calling her and sending texts, according to the affidavit. Police located Peterson Monday in Provo and arrested him.
