SOUTH JORDAN — Police have located a 30-year-old South Jordan woman who was previously missing.

Alicia Jameson was located safe in downtown Salt Lake City on Monday morning and will be reunited with her family, South Jordan police said in a news release.

Tips received from the public led police to find her, according to the release.

“The media and citizens of Salt Lake County played an integral part in finding Alicia so quickly. A sister missionary and others recalled seeing her downtown yesterday and reported that information quickly to police. This allowed us to work with our law enforcement partners in Salt Lake City to quickly locate Alicia," South Jordan Police Sgt. Samuel Winkler said in the release.

Jameson had last been seen Sunday morning between 9 and 10 a.m. in South Jordan. South Jordan police said she left a residence at 1177 W. 11715 South heading "in an unknown direction."
