OGDEN — One man was transported to the hospital in serious condition early Saturday after he collided with an Ogden Fire ladder truck on its way to a call.

The collision occurred near 2300 Lincoln Ave. about 1:40 a.m., according to Deputy Shelby Willis with the Ogden Fire Department.

She said the truck was responding to a call with its lights and sirens on when the motorcyclist pulled in front of it.

Ogden Police investigated, Willis said, and declined to cite the fire truck driver. The incident is under further investigation.

Editor's Note: An earlier version of this story stated the vehicle involved was an ambulance and has been corrected to Odgen Fire ladder truck. Deputy Shelby Willis was also incorrectly referred to as "he"; she is a woman.
