SALT LAKE CITY — The Aggies are on a hot streak.
And so is Brock Miller.
Miller totaled 11 points and three rebounds — including a crucial run of three-straight 3-pointers — and Neemias Queta added 8 points and 12 rebounds to help Utah State pull away for a 68-45 victory at Wyoming for the Aggies’ third straight win.
Sam Merrill supplied 14 points, two rebounds and two assists for the Aggies, who got 13 points from Alphonso Anderson and six points and 10 rebounds from Justin Bean.
After opening the year with with three straight losses in Mountain West play, the Aggies (17-6, 6-4 Mountain West) have won four of their last five. Their only loss in that span came in an 88-83 defeat at Boise State, when Utah State led 38-25 at halftime before the Broncos scored 50 second-half points to rally for the overtime win.
Miller made three 3-pointers during an 11-0 run to start the second half as the Aggies pulled out to a 40-24 lead on Merrill’s bucket six minutes into the half. Utah State shot 53% in the second half, including a 3 of 6 effort from Miller to cruise to the win.
Hunter Maldonado led Wyoming with 14 points, and Kwane Marble added 14 points, four rebounds and four assists for the Cowboys (5-17, 0-10 MW).
