MIDVALE — Students are being dismissed from three Midvale schools due to a water line break in the area, officials said.
Classes have been canceled for Midvale Middle School, as well as Midvale and Copperview elementary schools, according to a tweet from Canyons School District.
School has been cancelled for the day at Midvale Middle and Midvale and Copperview elementary schools. A city water-pipe break has left the schools without drinking water or access to restrooms. Parents are now being notified via our emergency-communication systems.

Midvale Middle students may walk or ride the bus home. Midvale and Copperview elementary school students need to be checked out by parents, guardians, approved adults or secondary school-aged siblings. Bottled water, portable toilets sent to schools as an emergency measure.

The schools do not have access to drinking water or restrooms due to the water break, the district said. Bottled water and portable restrooms are being sent to the schools as an emergency measure.
Middle school students will be allowed to walk or ride the bus home, the district said. Elementary school students will need to be checked out by a parent, guardian, approved adult or secondary school-aged sibling.
