COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — C.J. Walker scored 18 and No. 21 Ohio State snapped a four-game losing streak by beating Nebraska 80-68. Freshman guard D.J. Carton chipped in 13 for the Buckeyes and Kaleb Wesson had 13 points and 14 rebounds. Ohio State rolled despite the absence of guards Luther Muhammad and Duane Washington Jr. who were serving suspensions. Thorir Thorbjarnarson had 15 points for the Huskers, who have lost two straight. Ohio State hadn't won since Dec. 21 and hadn't scored 60 points in a game during the losing streak. The Buckeyes reached that total before the mid-point of the second half against Nebraska.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio State has suspended sophomore guards Luther Muhammad and Duane Washington Jr. for its game against Nebraska. The team says the players were disciplined for “failure to meet program standards and expectations.” No more details were provided. Washington has started every game and is the team's second-leading scorer, averaging 10.7 points per game. Muhammad has started every game but one and is averaging 6.5 points per game. The team did not say if the players will miss any more games.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Brad Davison hit a 3-pointer with 11 seconds left after getting a steal and Wisconsin beat No. 17 Maryland 56-54. It was Wisconsin's third straight victory against a ranked opponent. Davison finished with 14 points. Nate Reuvers scored 17 points and Micah Potter had 14 for the Badgers. Jalen Smith scored 18 points and Anthony Cowan Jr. had 16 for the Terrapins, who have lost two straight after winning three and a row. Maryland suffered an 18-point defeat Friday at Iowa.

IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Iowa defensive end A.J. Epenesa is entering the NFL draft after two of the most dominant performances of his career. Epenesa posted his decision on his Instagram page. He says his time with the Hawkeyes was everything he hoped it would be. Epenesa was an Associated Press second-team All-American and an AP All-Big Ten first-team pick. He is the first Iowa player with double-digit sacks in consecutive seasons since 2002-03.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (AP) — Robb Smith has been hired as Rutgers' defensive coordinator. Scarlet Knights coach Greg Schiano announced the hiring Tuesday. It's the latest move that brings back a former member of his Rutgers coaching staff. Smith spent four seasons on the Scarlet Knights’ staff. He also worked with Schiano at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Smith was Rutgers' defensive coordinator and secondary coach in 2012. He was special teams coordinator and linebackers coach in 2011, special teams coordinator and cornerbacks coach in 2010 and special teams coordinator and outside linebackers coach in 2009. Smith spent the 2019 season as a defensive analyst with Texas A&M.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Joseph Roberson, the former University of Michigan athletic director who served during the football team's national championship in 1997, has died. He was 84. The university says Roberson died Monday at his home in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Roberson was Michigan's athletic director from 1994-97, hiring former football coach Lloyd Carr in 1995. Carr led the team to the championship. Roberson's stint as athletic director capped a 31-year career with the university. He held several posts at University of Michigan-Flint, including interim chancellor. On the main Ann Arbor campus, he also served as head of corporate fundraising and associate vice president.
