FARMINGTON — A man was critically injured in a stabbing at a Farmington gas station Friday morning, police said.
The man was found with multiple stab wounds just before 9:30 a.m. at the Smith’s Fuel Center, 1316 U.S. 89, according to police. The man had four stab wounds around his heart.
He was flown in critical condition to the hospital, where police said he faced hours of surgery.
Investigators said they didn’t know who the attacker was, but hoped the stabbing victim would be able to shed some light on the situation. It was unknown whether the man was stabbed at the gas station or if the attack occurred somewhere else.
Police also said they don’t believe the public is in any danger.
